Can we go through the federal process while still needing to show proof of funds for SS? IT's just that by the time we would go we will have more than enough (e.g. late next year).

If we have to show proof of funds towards the end of this year (ie before federal application), we may not have enough!

Thought you had to show proof of funds to get the SS. You can't apply for the 176 without the SS (no longer able to transfer from 175 to 176 either you have to apply again now)

At least that is what I believe....could be wrong
