Hi all, I'd like to talk about a dilemna I'm actually bringing together all the
required documents for a skill assessment (AIMS) The AIMS application form says
that I have to provide evidence of work as far as professionnal references,
mentionning "if you are self employed, references of 2 colleagues"
1) is a payroll considered as an evidence of work ?
2) does "professionnal references" mean that I should obtain a letter from my
boss describing my job (tasks, responsibilities,...) or simply how I feel
implied in the company, how are my work relationships, etc...
3) assuming part 2) is correct, I wouldn't feel at ease asking my boss for such
a letter. Indeed, it would mean that I'm going to leave, so that he could
open the door earlier than expected ! That's why I would prefer to ask a
colleague to write this letter (but I'm not self employed). Would it be
accepted or denied by AIMS ???
4) the more professionnal references you got, the better chances you've got to
succeed in the skill assessment ?

Any help would be appreciated because I don't want to wait for my visa (between
6 & 18 months) without any job !!!
