Hi,

What is the general processing time till a 175 visa is granted after a CO has been assigned? Obviously it depends on each case (if extra info is requested, etc) and also when PCC and Medicals are booked and sent but assuming there are no requests for additional info and PCC and Medicals are front loaded is there any indication of time until the visa granted?

Could it also depend on whether the application is HR or LR?

Did you have your CO assigned.

HR cases takes time to proceed due to some extra checks and some secuirty checks.

If every thing is OK, LR application takes days to weeks only while HR application takes months.

How many months are we talking here for HR .... Is it the same for 176 applicants .. or for 176 they make less checks

Normally 2-3 months for HR.

I'm 176 and from an HR country
Got a CO last Feb 9, 2009. He only asked for medicals and nothing more coz I included PCC already when I lodged my paper application last May 2008. I completed meds Feb 13, 2009 but hospital submitted it Feb 16 to HOC.

No communications from my CO since Feb 9.

Which country are you from?... That will help what altavista said sometimes it takes months...

I am DEC 2007/MATERIALS ENGINEER/175 ONLINE/HR and have a CO since September 2008. Still no sign of VISA. My Meds and PCC both were frontloaded and have expired. Getting frustrated since its almost six months that I have a CO and whenever I write to my CO he says routine security checks are going on.

Are you CSL. Currenlty they are processing only CSL or state sponsorship applications.

Nope I dont think Materials Engineer is on CSL or MODL. I am neither State Sponsored but its 6 months with a CO now which is really frustrating.

Unfortunately you have to wait longer if you are non CSL and non MODL.
