PR YIPEE!!!!
We arrived on a 4 year 457 visa at the end of July last year and just had a phone call to say we now have PR.
Absolutely thrilled to bits. Pity it couldn't hve happened last week because of the citizenship changes but hell, we're now here to stay.

If you are subject to the 4 year rule, then you can count the year since you arrived on a 457, so likely will be eligible for citizenship around July 2010 if you stay in Australia.

Congratulations. Check the exact date that your PR application was approved - the visa documentation will make it clear.
If you are subject to the 4 year rule, then you can count the year since you arrived on a 457, so likely will be eligible for citizenship around July 2010 if you stay in Australia.

Just missed as visa was approved on 3rd July. Didn't realise the 457 time would help tho.
