Hi,

We've finally collated everything we need to send off our Skilled Migration Application.

Can anyone give me guidance on what posting method from the UK is fastest and guaranteed to get there? Is there one that sends you an acknowledgment of delivery?

Thanks

I have used Royal Mail Swift Air and paid 40 pence extra to attach a delivery receipt. It has your address on it and they sign and date it on delivery and it is posted back.

I have used this method for the Skills Assessment and twice to Adelaide.

I posted a letter on the 20th March (this method) which was thursday and received the receipt for delivery this morning dated the 24th March Monday.

Not bad going for Posting on a thursday and delivery on a monday.

It is cheaper than a courier and as reliable.

More reliable than 1st class posting in the UK

No system is guaranteed to get there. Best you can hope for is
a guarantee (insurance) against stuff NOT getting there.

Hi Rob,
I've used 'International Signed for', for my ACS application, and it
seems to have disapeared into a black hole. I've vowed to UPS/DHL my
Visa app, as I can't cope with the waiting!
Has anyone else used 'International Signed for' - will it ever get
there, or should I give up and resend it??

Cheers,
Karen.

More importantly, you need some proof of delivery that you can wave
back if you are told 'We have no record of receiving ... '
