Default Positive skills assessment - valdity

Could anyone please confirm that a positive skills assessment only needs to be valid at the time of application?

We have a friend who had a positive skills assesment in September last year. Then the MODL was revoked so she no longer has enough points for the 175. If she works another 15 months she will then get the extra points to apply but her skills assessment will only be valid for another 7 months. Not sure what will happen if the validity runs out while she is waiting for the visa to be processed.

Assessment must be valid at the time of application, if you apply with the valid assessment then doesn't matter how long your application takes, your assessment is not expired.

In the case of your friend she must have another positive assessment (re-assessment) if she want to apply for any visa after 7 months.

Means she will have to get duplicate assessment letter issued????
Coz once you are assessed positively,it is valid for lifetime but initially issued assessment letter is valid for one year only...Atleast i think the same abt EAUST!!!

Thanks for the replies. She is a speech therapist and the letter states that it is valid for two years from the date of the letter.

Re-assessment doesn't mean to have a duplicate copy of assessment result, she will be re-assessed according to the current rules and guidelines. bearing in mind if she is assessed positive in first assessment, she may or may not get same result second time. But normally they take less time in second assessment and fee is also not the same.
