Default Police so-called Clearance

Hi

Well that's confusing! I've got the police form for the clearance, but it says on it;

"Police Forces within the UK do not issue documents variously described as ...
'Police Clearance Certificates'"

Apart from that it seems to be OK - it relates to the Data Protection Act. It is form
SA1 (DL662) - is this the right form?

Thanks Paddy

The form you need is 'data protection act' -subject access.
took about a month to get replies, send off to address on form as it takes longer if you take it to the police station.

Hi Paddy....yep it's really confusing but you've got the right form...at least, my husband got his visa after submitting what the police sent back.

Paddy, I've been through a lot of pain on this one. The form that I got back stated
that there was no prosecution or conviction history held about me on the Police
National Computer and I got this from form 3019B
(http://www.met.police.uk/dataprotect...s/dpa3019b.pdf)

They say they don't issue 'police clearance certificates' although I believe form
3019b is what all immigration authorities are after. I don't think your DL662 is the
right form. No doubt lots of other people will have the right answer for you.

Good luck
