Police clearance certificate issue date for australian citizenship
I lived in Spain & UK before moving to the USA under a green card. At the time I got police clearance certificates for Spain & the UK.
I have the opportunity for australian citizenship through my parents. I would have thought that the police clearance certificates for those countries released at the time (and a current one from the USA) would be valid for australian citizenship? I have lived in all of those countries for 1 year or more in the last 10 years.
Or do I have to go through the process again for all of them?
Thanks in advance

Are you applying for Australian citizenship by descent, i.e. one of your parents was an Australian citizen at the time of your birth? If so there's no expiration date for police certificates.

Yes by descent. So that is good news right? Less new paperwork?

Well, no new police certificates in theory however if you've spent ANY time (even one day) in Australia since you turned 18 you will need to apply for an AFP National Police Certificate if you're applying from outside Australia. You'll also need to complete Form 80.
