Default Police Certificates

Hi All,

I hope someone can answer me for the question I have on police certificates,

I was in India on the below period for Company Training Purposes.

15-Jan-04 to 5-Feb-04
1-Mar-04 to 27-Jun-04
29-Jul-04 to 22-Dec-04
22-Jan-05 to 2-Jul-05
14-Jun-06 to 25-Aug-06

So, Do I need to Provide Police Certificates for that Period as Immi Site Says "In order for the Australian Government to determine whether you are of good character, you may be asked to provide police certificates for each country you have resided in for 12 months or more over the last 10 years "

Someone please clarify.

Well does that add up to more than 12 months? If so, I think you have your answer, yes?

You don't need a police check for short business trips. Only if you have spent more than 12 months there in total.
Check the info on the DIBP site for "character checks " to see how to get a check from each country.

Well some of those dates are over 10 years ago now. Have you already applied or not. Go back 10 years from application date. Looks like you are about 12 months now. So it will depend when you apply.

If they ask for one you will have to provide it or have an official document to say you cannot get one.

You need to add it all up to check.
