Please help....Info on appeals..
Hello.
I have just been turned down by the ACS. I had filed for a qualifying ASCO
(2231-11) but they are claiming i do not have 6 years experience. I would
like to appeal this because i believe that I do. I worked at a PC wholesaler
for 3.5 years before taking an MCSE full time course for 6 months, then
proceeded to work doing the same thing again until now. This should have
provided me with over 6 yrs. Unfortunately, on my letter of reference, my
former employer listed me as a hardware technician. Based on the letter that
the ACS sent, they are only covering me from the time I got out of school,
not before. The letter is rather vague, but I believe I could appeal this
decision if i had more documentation stating that I was more than a hardware
tech. I did a lot of networks as well as working with hardware. I am not
sure though, has anybody had any experience with appeals??
Thanks for helping..

John,
If you believe you have enough evidence to prove, go ahead with the appeal. You can provide any additional information that you think as advantageous. I have done it and was successful.
Good luck.
Gihan.

You should probably hire an agent. Appealing may be an option, or
re-application. It's not possible to say without having a lot more
information.

try http://www.themara.com.au
There's no reason why you can't hire an Australian agent. Here are
the websites of three who post here regularly:

http://www.gomatilda.com
