Hi Finch

Sorry we didn't reply earlier but only just got back off hols Portugal
- trying to take our mind off the waiting !!!!

Brilliant idea - definitively count me and Terry in for the party, we probably won't
be out to Perth until mid-late 2003 but I'm sure there will be more than one !!! It
would be great to keep in touch with everyone to see how life in Perth really is and
have an instant circle of friends who are all in the same boat.

If you need any help in organising stuff then I'm happy to help and of course once we
are there it would be easier to lend a hand.

Cheers Mandy

Hi Finch,
We've just started on our application, so our landing date in Perth is very approximate to say the least!
The idea of a support/social group is a great one. Reading some of the other posts, a lot of people are into the idea too.
It'll should make settling in a lot easier. Having said that, I lived in Perth back in '89 and I recall the inhabitants of Perth to be a sociable bunch and made you feel at home pretty damn quick!

It'll be good to hear your views on the schools. Our son is 9 in Jan., so we're hoping he'll have a couple of years in primary school before moving up to senior.
Which suburbs are you interested in? We like to look of the area around Joondalup and Ocean Reef. Looking at them, it's easy to see why they're popular with Brits. It's not Manchester, that's for sure!
With any luck we might make the 2nd anniversary beach barbie. Save me a stubbie!
Regards,
Phil.

Bolton to Perth- what a change. We are in Altrincham and hoping to be in Perth this year. Would you like to add your detail to the infamous spreadsheet?
If so then email me on [email protected]
Names, kids, jobs, when going, anything else of interest etc.

Cheers

Nicky

There is no probs taking a computer (I hope it is a notebook-otherwise a lot of carting around). We took ours from Perth-Asia-USA-Europe and had no problems at all with it. Just make sure you have the right plug adaptors, which you can pick up at the airport, or if you forget you can pick one up at Tandy's or Brash's when you get there. Have Fun
