permanent visa time scale

Hi, i wonder if anyone can answer some time scale questions for me please. I am applying for a skilled independant sub class 175 visa after my skills have been assessed.Once i have been issued with the visa do i have to get it "validated" or "stamped" shortly afterwards? If so how long do i have. Also how long after issue of the visa do i have to reside in Australia? Im asking because it may be that it could be a certain amount of time before i move "childrens schooling finishing" and the like!! Thanks in advance for any help.:)

Re: permanent visa time scale

You have to validate within a year of your meds or pcc, whichever was earliest. You have 5 years to make your move!
