Recently I discovered this forum. It is my goal to emigrate to Australia with my family. I am a Marketing Specialist (assessed by Vetasses), scored enough for the IELTS test and 34 years of age.

At this time I am unsure which type of visa to apply for. Unfortunately my job is not on a demand list, therefor I need state sponsorship in order to get enough points to get a passmark.

What I am interested in is people who are in comparable situation. Which Visa should I apply for; a temporary 475 visa get to Australia and pay whole fee again to get a permanent Visa, later on?

Or should I wait till June 2010, where I become 35 years of age and loose 5 points, hoping my occupation will appear on in demand list. If my occupation will appear, I would get enough points and I would apply for 176 visa, permanent residency. Which means I would not pay a second time the visa application fee.

If its any help to you Ive applied for Perm res visa in july 2007 and it now looks like we are going to be ceased and refunded.Maybe if we had gone for temp visa we may be there now,who knows.
My advice would be to look at easiest option first,dont go for gold like we did.
