Default Passport question?

Hubby has new passport but visa in old one.

Whats the process to get visa put in new passport and how much will it cost and how long does it take.

Can we travel with old passport and new passport...did it before but they held us up for hours in check in while they phoned Australia.....dont want to go through that again.

All help appreciated.

Thankyou

You can travel with both. It depends on which official you get as to how they deal with it though.
