Hi beefourrm,

If you fill out this part you can receive state or employer nomination
(your details will be inserted into skill matching database).

It can fast your application.

Best regards,
Ritka

It's a double-sided sword. As more people touch your application, it can be more luck or more harm.

Drunky idea:
Suppose my KGB ex-colleague works at DIMIA and processes my application, it can definitely help. But I guess STASI guys won't allow their ex-fellows in.

Really, unless you're likely to get a job offer or state nomination (i.e. non-IT), it won't help (they just keep you in pool DB).

Cheers,
Peter

Not counting false statements or inconsistencies:

Suppose you send a lot of your last & actual employment documentation and ask ASPC not to contact your employer, or you provide references from your colleagues & seniors who discretly know your plans.

Now if for any reason DIMIA Skill DB section in Canbera decides to check your employment details direct, they can call your boss and you are off your career.

Of course, that's quite paranoic... They said a year ago filling Skill Matching section increased the pprocessing speed - probably different ASPC officers dealed with those applications.

Cheers,
Peter

A job offer or state nomination definitely speeds things up.

I think there have been times in the past where filling out the skill
matching section has moved things a little faster, because sometimes
DIMIA want to increase the numbers on the skill matching database
quickly. But this is not something to be relied upon.

Does skill matching application really speed up the processing of the immigration application, always, or would it only do so if there is a potential job offer due to skill matching?
