parents contributory visa - high blood pressure?
hi, hopefully my parents will be joining us in Australia. I've just been having a chat with them about the medicals etc. they both have high blood pressure and are both on tablets.
have just read a thread about HBP, but didnt want to hijack that thread with my own questions.
they are both 'young' 66 years old. dad is quite fit, still working(ish) in the building trade, so quite a physical job. i think he is reasonably fit. mum doesnt do much really, apart from potter around, has HBP and high cholesterol. i dont know why though, her diet is really quite good. no salt etc.
no illness to speak of, as such. dad had an op about 6 years ago (the one a lot of older men have done ), but nothing since.
has anybody passed their medicals with HBP when they are taking tablets?
i think this is concerning them, the only thing what might stop them going is their health.

It had been pretty much under control but was high on the day of the medical.
The doctor was not bothered.
