parent visa

My mother in law wants to come with us to Australia when we move next year, can she apply for a parent visa now or does she have to wait until the wife and I are living there first, we have our residency already but can't go until next year. Andy

Re: parent visa

Hi there,

To sponsor your mother-in-law your wife will need to be "settled" in
Australia. This usually equates to 2 years residence in Australia.

If you mother-in-law would like to visit you in the mean time she will
need to apply for a long stay visitor visa or an investor retirement
visa. I am happy to assist you in exploring these options if you email
me on [email protected].

Cheers,
