Can anyone help, the Post Office have been useless!!
We have had our Australian Visa's in our passports for 2 years (finally off this year!!). My daughters passport is about to run out - what happens to the visa in it - does it get put in the new one as expected???? Bit nervous bout sending it away, post office say I need to speak to Australian Embassy!!
I know someone here will have the answer!
Thanks for any help.
Sally

You'll have to get a new sticker for the new passport.
So, send the passport off and get it renewed and then when it is returned to you take it down to one of the Immigration offices and they'll put a new sticker in it.
We're in Brisbane so we just went to the office in the city and within 20 minutes it was done free of charge. If you're too far away from an office I suspect you could mail it off too.
The post office has nothing to do with it so that's why they don't know anything. They only deal with Australian passports and have nothing to do with immigration stuff.
