Over 45 and YES we got it
Hi,
We have read the many posts on this brilliant site for the last couple of years but never dreamt we would be able to say YES WE GOT IT! Hubby's a welder and we have been sponsored by his employer (Exceptional Circumstances). It had taken a long time but we have just been granted our visas. Just got to sell the house now and convince our 18 year old to come with us. Good luck to everyone, especially any over 45's. Never give up hope! Ps. Been celebrating since receiving the news on Friday. Heading for one serious hangover. x

We got our skills visa application in just in time for hubbies 45th birthday, and now face what seems like the bigger challenge of trying to get our house sold
as we have flights booked for 14th September.....and don't want to come back!!!

Congratulations. This shows that even if you are 45+ DIMIA are prepared to be flexible on the age limit for employer nomination, even if it's not an easy way to go.

I applied when I was 44 & got the visa last week when I have crossed 45 a few months back. Leaving for Melbourne next month.
