Hi all, about eighteen months ago I was seriously looking into moving to Oz under the STNI visa to Victoria, which was the only state looking for teachers at that time. I took on a new job here in the UK however which now has a few months left to run. I'm about to put my house on the market (it may take a while to sell!!! ) and then hopefully make the move.

Initially me and friend would like to do a bit of travelling and then settle in Oz. The trouble is I'm 33 and a WHV is not an option. Can anyone advise the best way to start looking? I've got files from last year and I will be searching soon but there may be no point yet as the situation may have changed???

So basically I am asking where I should start and are there any changes in the last year or so I need to be aware of? What's the best way of getting in and how much approx am I looking at in total to apply?

I am a secondary school maths teacher and a cricket and football coach also.

Here's hoping some lovely people can point me in the right direction as my quest begins again!!!

You would almost certainly be able to get a job as a maths and PE teacher out in country Vic where we are. All jobs here seem to be something and PE lol. Organise your registration with VIT ASAP and then start looking at your visa options and look for work. There are plenty of schools that will sponsor you here.
