Congratulations to everyone who has got their visa already!
Just out of interest - how do you actually find out when/if the visa is granted?
Do you get an email or does your status change or do you get a letter?

this is my first comment as i am new to this forum.
i have sumbitted my 175 independent, here is the progress of my application:
02/10/2009 Application submitted
09/12/2009 CO
15/12/2009 Application being processed further
10/03/2010 All MET
Medical and police clearance have been submitted in Dec. and Jan
i have contacted the immig. and asked them what does it mean "Met" they told me it means the CO is happy with ur documents and now ur doc. is check process. they told me we dont know how long does it take to finalize all checks as they are sometimes waiting for feedback from external checks or other places.
does any of you had the same experiance, how long do u think it will take after getting the MET.
note, i have requested them to update my application status yesterday 10/03/2010 and after that they marke my documents as MET. which means maybe it was MET before few days or weeks. any idea

I bet you won't wait long. These guys in DIAC know what they are doing. Don't even think for a moment that your application is forgotten or that it is not payed attention to. You will hear news soon. Best of luck.

They changed the status of the application to approved, and when you click on that link you see your visa grant number, and the rest of the details. A day later they sent me the grant letter by email.

I've submitted my PCCs and Form 80 (12 Feb 2010) as requested by the CO on 27 Jan 2010. So far I've not had any further communication from the CO.
Now, for those who've gone through the above process, does the online tracking system indicate a MET status when the PCC and F80 are reviewed by the CO ? Currently they are not mentioned at all, not even the line showing a "required" status. (All other documents show MET)
Is there any way of finding out whether the latest docs sent by me have been reviewed by the CO ? (Change in ABPF date etc)
Average times seem for a visa issue seem to be a month after PCC and other docs are sent on request of the CO. Does the fact that I have sent 3 PCCs from different countries going to delay my processing time ?
If someone can shine some light on this please! ..... thanks

Not sure about how having 3 PCCs would affect your application but all my documents are still showing 'Required' and I have been given a visa.
I have read on other threads that it depends on who the CO whether they update the status. So I wouldn't worry too much.

Medicals were on 3 March and now it's 18 March and still no status update online and no sign of any movement. From experience how long did other people to get their visa granted after sending medicals? The PCC's are done.
