In your case - if you claimed points for Australian work experience - I would probably upload the concerning documents under this section.

And the forms for the medicals have to be completed by you and the panel doctor, normally they will be submitted with the medicals.
So you will only need them when your CO requests your medicals.
Thank You Lyx and Matrisha.

What hapends next after uploading docs.

When status get changed in document list from required to .....

Some peopls status never changes even after visa grant. It just depends on CO. Mines still says required.

Thank You !

Do they tell, if we forget some doc or incomplete document. I was just thinking if I missed some doc what will happen.

And next step is just to wait for CO ? I guess that will happen probably after 5months for CSL applicants.

If something is missing or the file is not complete/unreadable, they will ask for it as soon as they need it, don't worry .

Hi All

I am applying for offshore GSM 175 and applied online today, having just got my positive ACS MODL assessment in a record 19 days!..

I am not sure if this is the right thread but I am looking for some assistance with my 175 online application as I am not sure I filled out some areas correctly..and am just trying to upload the docs now (well if the DIAC website starts working again)..if anyone can assist it would be much appreciated..

Good Luck to everyone else here and I look forward to sharing the journey

1. Evidence of Work Experience - do DIAC only require 4 years of work experience as this is what their question suggests? I have submitted the references/payslips for this part but am not sure if they want me to go back as far as my ACS assessment which was group B so therefore 6 years

2. Evidence of Specific Work Experience - I assume this to mean that which satisfies the 12 in 24 month rule? So although its covered by the above I will attach it twice

3. Professional Training - they dont seem to want this evidence - should I submit it anyway or is it effectively covered off by the ACS assessment? I ask as I have a ton of training certificates

4. Overseas Qualifications - this is the bit I think I messed up - I have 2 x MCITP and wasnt sure what to put these down as - so I picked diploma - as my understanding is that is what the ACS count them as - I have a number of other IT qualifications - should I include these docs even though I didnt put them on the 175? Is there anyway to send a covering letter to DIAC explaining this in more detail?

5. MODL - I noticed on the forums there is some discussion about whether DIAC are able to pick up an MODL/CSL from the ACS code - my code is 2231-79 (Unix Specialist) - should I let them know as its the NEC code for computer professionals or will they pick it up?

Any assistance is much appreciated

Cheers

From the way I understand, you need to provide:
1) Everything that was provided during the ACS MODL assessment
2) Everything that DIAC wants
The rationale being that ACS assessment is one criteria that you are claiming for immigration purposes. It will end up being a thick bunch of papers
Good Luck!

Hello

Thanks for your reply - yes I think you're probably right..I was just trying to avoid uploading the same docs twice for each section, but I cant see a way around this..and once you have uploaded them you dont seem to be able to edit the categories or remove them (I was perhaps a bit over enthusiastic..

I am still slightly confused between work experience and specific work experience - my interpretation being

specific= specific to the MODL i.e. going back four years
work experience = recent work experience? to satisfy the 12/24 month rule

but this confusion may be arising as all my work is in the same area so its effectively the same info...if any one has any thoughts/comments on this would be much appreciated

Cheers

I would still avoid uploading the same documents twice.

I uploaded all my employer references (the same one I sent to ACS for assessment) unter "specific work experience".
And then I put all the other documents I used for ACS assessment (such as CV, training certificates and so on) under category "other", and specified them as "additional documents for ACS assessment".

And I would not worry too much if you put something under a different category - once you have a CO, he will be able to find the relevant documents anyway. And if he doesn't, he will ask for them.

Agree with @Matrisha- Avoid double copies- it might irritate the Officer . If they find something missing, they will ask for it.

Hi All,

Thought I'd join all you fellow October applicants for the nail biting wait ahead My GSM 176 visa was uploaded yesterday. I applied to WA for state sponsorship in August and am still waiting to hear from them, so for a positive response. As my 40th birthday is coming up soon, I couldnt wait for WA as I would have lost points putting me below 100 and unable to apply. So I have had to take in punt in getting my application in. Just hope the gamble pays off!

I used an agent (Go Matilda) who helped me through the whole process, filling out all the forms and lodging the application for me. They have been absolutely superb so far and I would have no problem recommending them. It was money well spent in my book as they have steered me in the right direction, correcting some fundamental errors I have made along the way and making sure everything was in order before we lodged. Without their help I think I would have struggled.

Good luck to everyone who has lodged. Lets hope we'll all have something to celebrate soon!

My husband is from Northern Ireland and I sponsored him for a Spouse visa to enter and live in Australia.
We put the application together ourselves and sent it via courier to the Australian High Commission on Tuesday the 13th October 2009.
It arrived at the Commission on Wednesday the 14th October 2009.
His visa was granted on Monday the 19th October 2009.
I was shocked at how quick the process was.
It was only 3 working days and it was granted.
His medical and police check were carried out before sending however when it was granted they hadn't taken the application fee.
I thought it would take months.

Hi

Thanks - I agree - unfortunately I cant see any way to amend/revise the docs once they are uploaded - so no choice but to leave them uploaded twice
