- As previously mentioned, I do not know when a Case Officer was allocated.
- As recommended everywhere I could read about it, I proceeded with the Medicals and PCC ONLY ONCE REQUESTED by the CO (2009-12-21).
- I've amended the timeline accordingly, but I repeat it here: I had my Medicals all done on 2010-01-05, and they appeared online as processed on 2010-01-29.

Exactly after 4 months, my 176 visa has been granted!!!!
Feels a little bit surreal at the moment, I think I have to give it some time to sink in. Don't know how I'm going to survive this day at work....
To prevent any questions, here are my details:
low risk country, occupation on CSL (2231-79 SAP)
15/10/09 visa application (initially 175)
01/12/09 received and accepted NSW SS
10/12/09 frontloaded PCC
17/12/09 medicals (received in Sydney 30/12/09)
07/10/10 all documents except medicals turned to met
11/01/10 email from CO requesting medicals
15/01/10 medicals turned to received/finalised in application status
15/02/10 visa grant (subclass 176)
And my CO was from team 7.
Initial entry date is 08/12/10, exactly one year after the date on my PCC.
I guess I am one of the few cases were state sponsorship delayed the visa grant.
I received NSW SS in December, and after several emails my sponsoring state finally managed to send form 1100 to DIAC in January.
But after sending a PLE mid January, I was told by DIAC that the form 1100 they received from NSW DSRD was not dated and unsigned and therefore invalid (of course ...). So I had to get back to the DSRD and ask them to send a valid version of form 1100 with signature and date. They finally send it last Thursday, and two
working days later I got my visa!
Woohoo, still can't believe it!
