Do we need to come to india and get our passport stamped ? i was told otherwise. if you are in any country, you can visit nearest Australian consulate show your grant letter and get it stamped. I am curious, i need some help here!!!!

Its not necessary to go back to India.You can go the nearest Australian Embassy ( of any other country ) as well.The thing is like...." You need to depart Australia if you are in Australia when the visa is granted ".
Hope that clarifies your doubt...

My meds still show as requested , I have now raised a PLE at HOC to find out their status. They were delivered in Sydney 30/12/09, so hopefully it's not too long until they change from requested to received and finally to met/finalised.

Good Day !

Which address do we need to send medical. I have made an online 175 visa application. I am in Sydney. I did medical's in Sydney.

As per my understanding, doctor need to send the report directly to DIAC. But doctor said it will come to my address with "DO NOT OPEN" and send it to immigration. And I have already received medical report, it says on envelop "Do Not Open" , "Please Forward This Sealed Envelope To Immigration"


Please suggest !

AFAIK it's all done electronically when you had your medicals in Australia (at HSA), so you don't need to send the envelope anywhere.

Everything was good. Doctor confused me as she said you need to send this to immigration and only medicals result for student visa get a auto sent. Doctor's shouldn't give misleading info.

But I can exactly understand your situation. When I did my medicals, the doctor tried to convince me that the results are to be sent to the local Australian Embassy, and not directly to HOC Sydney.
But I was lucky enough to have a printout from the DIAC website showing that offshore medicals for subclass 175 have to be sent to Sydney ...

My CO requested new medicals which i did in the country and not in HSA office.I also received my medicals in a post office priority sealed envelope and it came from HSA sydney.From my own understanding,the medicals centre sent my medicals to HSA in sydney then HSA sent it to me so i can send it to immigrations.Inside the envelope is another envelope which says "Do Not Open" , "Please Forward This Sealed Envelope To Immigration"....

Last december,when my CO requested for such medicals underneath his email are the following address informations:
