While reading other threads, I have found interesting external websites where applicants follow each other's timelines.

I have found it interesting to read how many months people waited for their CO and further steps until the visa grant. It was reassuring to read that others also waited, were anxious but eventually got their case through.

Happy new year to you all.

If anyone can suggest on following:

Currently I am working in Australia. I have already applied for 175 visa.

I will be applying for PCC.

a) Do we need to get PCC from home country as well ? I stayed in home country more than 20yrs

b) Do we need to get PCC from country in which I have stayed less than 12months. I stayed for 6month in Singapore. (From diac website I think it is not required, But I would like to confirm if someone know it exactly

Note: I lived in both home country and Singapore within last 10yrs.

"For the Australian Government to determine whether you are of good character, you may be asked to provide police certificates for each country you have lived in for 12 months or more over the last ten (10) years since turning 16"

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

1) Yes you need to get PCC from your home country.
2) If you stayed for more than 12 months then only you have to get PCC from those countries. So in your case, I think you don't need to apply for PCC.

Hi all, happy new year!!

I applied on 25/10/09, payment recieved and its says its in process.

However i havn't had a CO. Should i be worried, my job is on the MODL list Welder.

If your nominated occupation is in CSL then they will contact you soon if there are any pending documents.

If your nominated occupation is not in CSL then you have to wait until 2012.

Update on Shuffers - CO assigned today 6 Jan. Meds and P Checks requested. 86 days from application to case officer. Was expecting 6 month wait based on the tracking site info suggested by another member !

All my documents changed directly from requested to met today !!!!

Only my medicals still show outstanding (and requested in the document checklist), though something happened here as well: on the application status page, I can only see "Health requirements outstanding", all the other details like "X-ray" and "Blood test" have disappeared.
Maybe my medicals are also already somewhere in their system, although then they must have been pretty fast - the medicals were only delivered to HOC on 31 December ...

No email from a CO yet.

But I'm so exited!

Hi All

I received Pre-Grant Visa mail from CO. And they asked me the travel dates for leaving Australia and for stamping........

Can anyone tell me... whether i can goto New zealnd for stamping.... and how many days it takes to get it stampe....?
