Hi Bodgan,
yes, I applied for NSW SS to speed things up a little bit.
And when I received confirmation for NSW SS, I decided to already go for PCC and medicals, expecting to get a CO in the nearer future.
But as things go at the moment, SS will only speed up your application by one ore two months.

I think if I do not get my CO by the end of Feb 2010, I will have to go for the SS myself. From what I understand, I will not have to switch to 176 since I have 135 points. I would apply for the SS only for the sake of increasing the processing priority. From your comments on this forum, I assume that you are in a very similar situation as I am.

Hi everybody,
I want to share my application time line.
I applied for Skilled migrant 175. I am on CSL. I am from high risk country but i currently live in Australia as i am studying here.
I lodged my application online on 13th of October, the status changed to ABPF on 27th of October. I got a case officer on 23rd of December, he asked for form 80 and medical examination. I am not sure what is going to happen with the medical examination because my wife is pregnant. we already had medical examination on last February overseas for the the student visa. I sent reply to the case officer telling him that, because my wife is pregnant and I prefer that she not have to do the x-ray. I didn't receive his reply yet.

One question to this thread. If you have NSW SS it doesn't mean that you will convert to 176? Or maybe DIAC will do it somehow automatically?

Sorry, I can only tell you about the "offshore" process for medicals.
You get yourself an appointment with a panel doc (if you're outside Australia) or contact HSA (if you're in Australia).
You print out forms 26EH and 160EH - you should see them in your document checklist - and fill in the parts you're required to fill in by yourself, the rest will be done by the doctor.
I was also required to bring my passport, two passport photographs and the fee of course (don't know what it is for examiniations in Australia though).
The test itself consists of a chest X-ray, a blood test, a urine test, taking your blood pressure, a VERY general examination and some questions (the ones on form 26EH).
Generally, the examination itself is very quick, filling out the forms is what takes most of the time.
Afterwards, the doctor will send the results to HOC (AFAIK in Australia this will be done electronically ...).

About PCC - I think here the process is different for each country you need a PCC from.

DIAC normally does it automatically.
Once your sponsorship application is approved, the sponsoring state will send you a form where you have to fill in your TRN (in case you already applied for a visa), and by signing it and sending it back to the sponsoring state, you're accepting the sponsorship.
The sponsoring state will then send form 1100 to DIAC to inform them of SS. (Well, at least that's how it's supposed to be - I'm still trying to get confirmation from DRSD if they forwarded form 1100 ...).

Thanks Matrisha. I am in Australia, but when DIAC will announce the PR result they will ask me to go out of Australia before they take decision. Subclass 175, one has to file as offshore.

I think process will same for medical and pcc whatever you suggested.

My documents status is "received" since 23rd of Dec, Is that OK? It is the same day that I got a CO.
When it should be "met"? Most of the comments I read saying that the status is changed to met when they got CO.
Is that means it have some problems or they didn't met the requirement?
