Yes only if you get a sponsorship from NSW for an occupation that is present in the SMP that is going to get released.

I am waiting for the SMP to come out and lodge the 176 visa so that I will get priority 2. Hope the SMP comes out soon.

But from what I have read they are only going to add to it.
What happens if SE Java is no longer on the list - presumably they'll priority 3 you anyway. So I can't see what you have to gain by waiting?!?...

When is the new list due by the way? I'm starting to brick it a little that the thing wont arrive in time and they'll take SE off it. I'm sending it tomorrow.

I don't think they will remove SE out of the list. I believe they will add few more occupations to the interim list and release it as SMP. But all these are speculations and cannot be confirmed by anyone.

Yes, when your nominated occupation is on the NSW SMP list which is gonna come out soon.

Is NSW SS priority 2 or priority 3. All other SMPs are P2, but there seems to be some confusion over NSW?!

From the horse's mouth over email -- from NSW bizmigration:

"At this stage the SMP is in the final stages and should be signed off in the next few weeks. upon receipt of this notification advice will be posted on the NSW Industry and Investment website www.business.nsw.gov.au/live-and-work-in-nsw.

Only DIAC Immigration can advise you on the processing times with regard to priority as your application is with them."
