Hi NOV applicants.
Pleasure to see most have received there VISAS. I applied in Nov 08 , had the grant Jan 2010.
So currently planning to move around July 2010.
These days busy with CIMA, CPA & ICAA membership requirement guidelines to plan my career.

Re: NOVEMBER '08 APPLICANTS
Our application was not using an occupation on the CSL or the MODL, however for a while it was processed as if it was on the CSL. That was changed following the changes to processing priorities in September, however because of special circumstances regarding our living arrangements, our life in Australia and my occupation it was again processed and granted. We had very unusual circumstances and I am very grateful and thankful that Immigration took them into account.

Hi Nov '08 application wasn't on the CSL or MODL either but I had been living and working in Australia on a 457 for near 4 years, my Girlfriends father had a friend who works in the federal government and a senior officer in the NSW Rural Fire Service (I'm a Volunteer Bush FF) supplied a letter and I got a Visa grant a few weeks later (May'09)... Special circumstances do work

Hi there
Has any november 2008 applicant got the visa ??? (175-MODL no CSL)
Any of you ???
...just wondering if we all gonna wait till 2012-2013 ?
What if they gonna cut the queue ? as they did now with 2007 applicants ?
can anybody guarantee that ...let's say in 2011 thay will not decide to get rid of all of us ??? (
waiting in uncertainty till 2013 ??? sunds like a nightmare

Given up waiting now and happily living in New Zealand. I haven't withdrawn my application as I would lose all my money anyway, so instead I'm leaving it in, because like whats just happened to the 2007 lot, there is still a chance it could get canned again later on and I might get a refund then.
Not a great experience though this immigration lark.

Well we're not in either. Was hoping to be in before the older children started secondary school and before my 4 yearold actually started school this September as I really felt that he would have benefited from the older starting age in Australia but there you go.
We still hope to go but I guess only time will tell now. (

Hi there
looks like they wanna give a try to our patience
hopefully that finally we all gonna land in Australia.
I hope that they won't cut off the queue again cause this would be a disaster for me.
I'm just curious why they need another 3 years to put their hands on ours applications ? they had almost 2 years to do it ( I know that there have been changes in the meantime) but 2 years that's long time...
All the best and c u in Oz 1 day

Re: NOVEMBER '08 APPLICANTS
My agent sent a reminder to DIAC in Dec 09 and got the reply:
"At present this application is undergoing checks which are part of the
routine processing of visa applications. Unfortunately, ensuring all the
legal requirements are met in relation to an application can take some
time. In particular, it can take several months to gain any necessary
health, character and national security or other checks or clearances from
other agencies.
The case officer is following up on the status of this case on a regular
basis to ensure it is being processed as soon as practicable. You will be
contacted if we require more information when they proceed with processing
your application."
After this email , no other response from DIAC.
Please advise what I can do?
