Default Non migrating children

Hi im just putting together my 186 visa on my immi account. My twin boys are 18 in Dec and are happy living in Uk with my ex. But they may want to move to Australia later on. Will adding them as non migrating dependant children to my 186 application help them if they decide to move here after they are 18.

No you must put them on as migrating dependents whilst you can. Are they still in ful time education and are you supporting them?

Nobody will force them to move, although they will need to take a holiday out to validate the visa. If I had a pound for every older teenager that didn't get the visa when they could and then regretted it when they were in their twenties and no longer could, well I would be very rich.

Second that. They are not forced to move but once they have validated the visa they have 5 years to decide with free movement and work/ study rights. Yes it will cost a bit more up front, but if you don't and they want to move later it will probably cost more IF it is possible.

Just one thing. Are they actually dependent? Are they in full time education? They might not actually be dependent, in which case you might not be able to put them on the visa.
