Non IT Independent skilled.

Hi, My husband has applied in the independent skilled catergory (NOn - IT) we had
gone through an agent. Got our file number in the month of June 2001 there does not
seem any likely hood of us getting our medicals the next few months.

Our agent informed us at the time of applying that it would take us 3 months (from
the time we get our file number) for us to get the medicals. Once the 3 months were
up, they informed us that it is 5 and not 3. Now after nine months, they tell us that
it is 44 weeks fromt eh dateo f file number. What I would like to know is if the
processing time would continue to increase.

The wait is really killing us. We are Indian working in the U.A.E and are bound by
contracts. Our contracts are expiring in a month or two & it really worries us.

Is there anyone out there in a similiar situation. Please reply.

Dido.
