Just wondering why Australia decided in raise the pass mark.
Typically there's an explanation but can't seem to find any news

My guess is to increase the number of migrants going to regional areas eg.
other than the major cities, although no-one yet knows precisely what
classes as "regional".

Election year.... always a simple thing to do to show that you are the party steming immigration , and the issues it causes
