New Occupations addred to ProRata list (incl Reg Nurses)
Under the SkillSelect 189 and 489 (Family Sponsored) several Occupations are currently invited under the Pro-rata system.
Three more occupations were added to the list in November
As expected last month the following occupations have been added to the ProRata occupations.
2335** Industrial, Mechanical and Production Engineers and
2334** Electronics Engineers
However also added to the list were
2544** Registered Nurses
This last group was unexpected and we are awaiting clarification, but potentially may relate to the number of Employer Sponsored applications in this occupation this year?
It is likely that more than 60 points will be required to obtain an invitation for each of these occupations

Re: New Occupations addred to ProRata list (incl Reg Nurses)
It appears the DIBP made a mistake moving Registered Nurses to the ProRata list. The DIBP are expected to confirm this on the DIBP web site when they publish details of the next round of invites.

Yes, this has now been confirmed. Attached a copy of the 7th Dec round of invites and confirmation.
This round there have been further technical problems with invites with some of the ProRata occupations again not receiving invites this round.
