New Career - TRA?

We are sending off our skills assessment based on hubby's current job and experience.

However, he is about to start the second and final part of his electrical installation course, and do a few others that he needs along the way, in the hope of becoming an electrician.

So - by the time our visas come through (fingers crossed!) he will have finished the course and hopefully had about a year's job expereince.

He's hoping to become a sparky in Oz so my question is, will we have to submit again to the TRA once we are over there?

I know there are various courses he has to do anyway, but I wasnt sure about the skills assessment and whether we will need another one?

Hi bridiej

If you do a search on this and the general oz/nz forum for "baldbutts" you should find some good info on how to go about getting a licence once in oz - Baldbutts emigrated either early this year or last year and posted quite a few pages!! on the subject.

Hope that helps
