Never Ending "Internal Checking Procedures"
Hello Everybody,
4 Months back I got a reply from DIMIA which is as follows: "This office is currently waiting on internal checking procedures to be completed. Your Case officer will contact you if further information is required or a decision made." Now its almost 19 months since I applied for a SI 136 Visa & all requested documents have been submitted. Just wondering how long will it take for DIMIA to complete the internal checking procedures. Is anybody in a similar situation? Regards, |

It's almost eight months form the day I submitted my application. For last two months they are saying 'Waiting for Internal Checking’, they don't give any clue what is this Internal Checking exactly Is it, Previous Employer checking? or Something else? Does anyone know what is this exactly is??? Regards |

SS If it's a security check it can take a lot of time, especially if it involves countries where Australian security agencies don't get the immediate co-operation of the local intelligence service. Jeremy |
