My parents / their visa / any options
My parents were granted a Contributory Parent Temporary Visa nearly two years ago, however due to family circumstances in the UK they are unable to move over to Oz at the moment full time (however they have visited Oz since the visa was granted on holiday).
Their temporary visa is due to expire soon and they need to obviously apply for their Contributory Parent Visa which will be costly.
Is there any way the temporary visa can be extended, does anybody know of this happening / anybody being granted an extra year or so ?
I have looked on the DIMIA website and it does say it cannot be extended or renewed but was wondering if it ever has.
Any help/advice would be very much appreciated.....

You should be aware that if the temporary visa expires without the permanent visa being applied for, the money paid for the temporary visa is forfeit.
