Evening all!
Is it right that for entry to Aus you can apply for different visas under one category and only pay one price. So under General Skilled Migration you can apply for Skilled Independent (subclass 136) AND Skilled-STNI (subclass 137) at the same time .
Is this a good plan and at what satge do you tell DIMIA which one it is to be?
Reason for asking is that we have 115 points but could get 120 with a bond or job offer. Therefore 115 gets us in STNI but Independent gives us freedom to go where we like.
Appreciate guidance from the wise!

Legally you apply for both 136 and 137 at the same time. However, subclass 137 will only become an issue if you get a state nomination.
You need a nominated occupation on the MODL to get points for a job offer - however if you have an Australian employer keen to hire you, then look at employer nominated PR (ENS/RSMS) as an alternative.
