Default In the Military - Will we or won't we get visa without RN discharge papers

Hi All

Just an update to those of you who have PM'd me about the discharge papers requirement in order to get their visa.

We sent a letter from my husband's CO with our application stating that his notice had been submitted and was able to be released early as he has served 23 years in the Royal Navy.

Meds and PCC's have been done, the Centrelink interview was done last month (around 20th Nov) and my Father-in-Law lodged the bond the next day. Is it now that discharge papers would be requested? I was under the impression that the bond is the very last thing to be done so we may get our visa soon after Xmas.

No one seems to know since the July changes.

Answers on a postcard please, addressed to DIMIA!

Our TRA was horrendous as well, you think that service personnel would walk it.

Best of luck and good wishes

Lucy
