Re: Migrant money
there is a specific answer.
that is....the amount of money you will be bringing to Australia. simple, no need to lie, guess or anything else, and I think you can go to the nearest $, no need to include cents :-)

Re: Migrant money
There doesn't seem to be a certain amout you need... but you will need enough to set yourselves up in Australia. I guess it depends if you have contacts in Australia who are willing to help you get started, and how long it will take you to find employment, depending on your skills and location you are travelling to in Oz. Sydney and Melbourne are more expensive to live in.

Re: Migrant money
As you are not entitled to benefits for the first two years, you should bring enough to establish yourselves and keep yourselves until a job is found. Where you have a MODL occupation or other occupation with well known good job prospects DIMIA are unlikely to worry if you only state a figure that would only last you 3 months. My best advice is, if you are going to put a figure of less than say A$60,000, and that does not include all your assets that you could liquidate and bring, put in the higher figure of what you could bring if you really had to and answer the question as "up to A$70,000" or whatever you could justify if you ever had to.
