Question is, what can you do?. I merely asked to keep your depressed negative opinion to yourself. Nothing more, and you have gotten down to buttholes and stinks.. Guess DIAC is not doing a great job after all letting people like you inside.

But then again, its just my opinion, and opinions are like buttholes, everybody has got them..

You would do well to learn some respect for members who have been around a while and actually know what they're talking about. Ex_Exile has been through the process, has worked with ACS and knows what's what. You have been rude to a number of people on various topics and quite honestly it's attitudes like yours that make this forum so much less enjoyable than it used to be.

And FYI, DIAC do read this forum. Some employees used to post a few years ago even.

If I assume that I can register my 176 visa without review of ACS because of state sponsorship in the first week of July 2010, do I still need to extend the skill assessement?

you will not required to extend the skill assessment.Only if your ASCO code is accepted by DIAC for 176. And you manage to apply before 15th July.

Yes khanzahid I also request for the authenticity of this message that you have posted. Do you have any official statement or link to support your comment to be valid?

I am also in the same situation as I received my SA SS on 6th may but could not apply for immigration before 7th may suspension.

Please clarify.

Dorothy,

When exactly I was rude to a number of people ? Please clarify... I think you have mistaken me with someone else.

Thanks

Hi,

I had a look at the sticky tread on the DIAC Exposition in Sydney on 31st May and the following is mentioned :

Changes to the ENSOL and 457 occupation lists will be direct translations to ANZSCO at this stage with no substantive changes. The Department will issue a "convergence" or "concordance" list confirming ASCO equivalencies.

Pre-July skills assessments will remain valid depending on the convergence/concordance list and relevant eligibility list, eg new SOL or ENSOL.

Unfortunately, this still doesn't clarify the situation of IT people and it somehow contradicts the last statement made by ACS.

I received my ACS letter on the 29th may and I got the code 2231-79 (Data Warehousing Specialist) as I was expecting. But I really don't know how this is going to be mapped onto the new SOL.
