medicals and summer holiday - gotta love it....

hi all,

had my medicals today - everything ok according to doctors, however, one problem....

had to go someplace else to get my blood tested, the doctor that sent me there said that he should have results tomorrow or friday, but when i got there they told me that i could be next week....

you're wondering 'where's the problem' - well HERE!!!

doctor's going away on holiday for 3 weeks on friday, so if the results dont come through by friday, ill be waiting another three weeks.

im applying for a prospective marriage visa, btw.

my question is - as i've got the x-rays and i could send them with the application - will the embassy assess my application if i havent got the medical results yet?

in other words - i could send the whole lot off to berlin next week, but will they just put it on the big pile till they get the medicals or will they actually look at it and say ' well, if her meds are ok, we'll tick that one off and she can have the visa'

sorry if this post is a bit 'all over the place' - i'm just a bit upset that the doctor didnt bother to tell me this when i made the appointment....

thanks, tanja

Hi Tanja

All I know is based on the AHC; I sent my application off without my medicals. I got a letter a week later asking for them and some other bits. The fact they asked for other bits makes me think they'd looked through it, so no, for me anyway I don't think it affected my application. Also, if you get your application in you'll get a case number, which you can get the doctor/yourself to put on your medicals to make it easier for the DIMIA to match up your results anyway.

:)
