Red face Medical Reports with Online Application for GSM 175

Hi All,

like the offline version is there any forms to fill at the time of the medical checks?

peaceboy.

Hi Peaceboy

The panel doctor who does your medical will submit your forms for you.
Although you will have to print them off the Dept website and complete part of them before you go to the medical (take them with you + your passport and a passport photo attached to each form).
You need your own personalised version of the 160EH and 26EH forms.

The police checks you have to apply for yourself (£35 each, 10 working days to process). You get a police certificate back which you will have to scan and upload / e-mail to the Dept in the same way as your other docs.
Apply using this link:
http://www.acpo.police.uk/certificates.asp

If you have any ongoing medical treatment where you are seeing a specialist, make sure you get copies of all of the letters on your GP's file to take to the medical with you. I had my medical yesterday and although I asked the doctors receptionist for mine all I got was a computer print out listing the reasons for visiting the doctors over the past few years which was not enough information. The receptionist told me I would have to get copies from each specialist which I knew I would not have time for before the appointment. The panel doctor gave me a letter to take to my GP requesting the letters and hey presto the response was "is tomorrow soon enough?".

I got my police checks back yesterday and had my medical yesterday too, still some followup for my medical but it feels like a massive step forward, we should have a case officer any day.

The rollercoaster has left the station!

Good Luck, any more questions, just ask.

HI Charlene,

thanks for the info,

but my real question is do i have to fill the manual forms even though i apply via online when its come to medical checks?

and the other one is do i have to get police clearance for all my family members who are intending to migrate with me?

Cheers,
peaceboy.

Hi Peaceboy

Yes they are manual forms. The 160EH & 26EH forms you print off have some preprinted information on them but you have to complete some details such as address and phone number and lots of questions about your medical history.
The doctor will write some more information on the forms and get you to sign them before he send them off on your behalf.

You have to have police checks done for everyone migrating (£35 each).
Check the website link I sent you earlier, I would not have thought you need them for children but I am not sure.

I hope this makes things a little clearer for you.
