Anyone had a recent medical in North Yorks area? Just wondering if someone would be so good as to inform me of where they went and what the prices were. I'm aware they vary from place to place.

We had ours at Huddersfield a couple of weeks ago - travelled from Liverpool because it had the lowest price within a reasonable travelling distance. Also there is a hospital literally next door where you can get your xrays done. Meds for 2 adults and 2 kids plus 2 chest xrays were £412 although that was for student visa, no blood tests which I think are £15 per test.

that sounds great, can i ask where in huddersfield and did you just call them, we will need meds doing soon. did they do them on a saturday do you know.

it would be great if we could get everything done in 1 day.

Yeah, we had ours in August they were done by Abbey Medical Group in York and cost us £120 per adult, £60 per child and £15 per HIV test. We had the xrays done at York District a couple of days before and they were £81 each and £5 postage each.

You just need to call them to arrange an appointment, don't know if they do Saturdays though. Our meds and xrays took less than 3 hours start to finish - you have to arrange xrays separately but the hospital are very helpful in tying in with the meds.

We rang round everywhere! We are going for our medicals tomorrow in Huddersfield.

Its a bit of a treck, but compared to the extra expense we figured it was well worth the journey.

I've heard York are very nice (and reasonably priced).

Think we may end up at York as have 10% discount voucher tucked away somewhere afer Leeds expo
But will check round on prices shortly after Christmas.

Hi, York were brilliant with us and absolutely brilliant with the kids. They really put the 4 of them at ease and we all sailed through them with no hassle whatsoever. If anyone decides on York then I can give you the details if needed.
