Hi,
We were quoted £80 for an adult, £40 per sprog for the medicals then an extra £20 for the blood tests and £27 for the x-rays. The other place we rang quoted £95 per adult and £65 per sprog, blood tests included in that one but not the x-ray. Have yet to book that. Will let you know. |

Wow, that's far more reasonable. > Two adult and two child medicals cost > a total of £182. You got a better deal than's available in Cardiff. Where did you get them done ? |
I had mine done for my student visa in Cardiff too - only had 1 choice for the x-ray and 2 for the medical. What I don't understand is why you have to have a chest x-ray for TB when you've already had a BCG jab in school - what a waste of money!

We have just had medicals done. Watch out for added extra costs.
We were originally quoted £120 per adult everything included and £40 for child. As my daughter is soon 11 they charged an extra £40 for her xray and because we have a tattoo we were charged an extra £50 because we needed an extra blood test for the other form of hepititis!! Slight shock to the cheque book. Its definately worth shopping around for a good deal especially if you have a big family (otherwise stick a plaster on your tattoo so the dr doesn`t spot it!!) By the way, we did manage to book our medical within a week of ringing up so that made up for it slightly! Fingers crossed there is nothing to worry about health wise and we can send everything off when all blood test etc are completed. |

I've said before that I think I must hold the record for the cheapest medical/x-rays (in real terms of course). |
