medical
hi, does anyone know if you can be refused visa after medical if you are overweight. I am quite overweight, but have started on new healthy eating/exercise regime and I am determined to do it. I have no pmh and in my working life as a nurse (5 years) I have only had 2 days absence for sickness which was just a virus. I'm worried that this will stop us from getting a visa, its a sponsored visa if that makes any difference.

Re: medical
Hi there,
Try not to worry too much - I had concerns about OH passing his medicals for ongoing medical issues (all my fears were unfounded - he passed!) but believe me I had some restless nights.
When I was concerned, I stumbled upon this guidance used by Panel Doctors which I think should answer your worries! Pg 28/54 in particular.

Also, noticed you live in L'pool - we had meds done in Manchester - thought they would be a lot more complex than they were - very superficial examination but fulfilled what is required for Visa purposes - lovely Doc to!
Good Luck
