Re: MCSE which ANZSCO code ? 261111 or 261112
My problem is that I have to direct them towards business analyst rather than System Administrator or System Manager. The latter are of no use for me.Therefore I've tried to emphasize the analytical tasks of my job. I'm afraid they won't assess me properly if I remove this. Actually this is also what I'm doing. OK, not all day long but it's 85% of my daily business.

I'm going for a re-assessment and then most probably for a new GSM-application. There are rumours that the DIAC is waiting for a decision from Canberra whether ICTs are allowed to change the occupation for their running GSM-application. So this might be another solution although it's not safe yet. I'm stuck in cat 4 with my current code (2231-79) so I've got to look for options.

Would you please elaborate more yours above bold statment, i understand from above statement that old applicant who got ACS +ve assessment can not apply for new reassessment for changed occupations is it that?

This whole situation has arisen because the Australian ICT-graduates were storming the barricades. The reason was pre-July '10 grads had been pushed into cat4 whereas post July '10 graduates were allowed to get into cat3 although all of them studied the same subjects. DIAC has been made aware of that and told them to get a re-assessment from the ACS and to submit this new assessment accompanied by a form 1023. They would then decide whether they are allowed to jump into cat3 or not. So it's still a bit vague at the moment but everything is better than rotting in cat 4. I'll give it a try ...
