Hi there we had meds and pcc requested on 23 jan ,so we're in a similar situation to josiejo, just waiting for the pre grant.from what i've seen they are granting as soon as six days after receiveing them (fingers crossed).

We sent off our app in April 03, our Credit card got charged in May 03, got our requests for Meds & Police Clearance in Feb 04. Have sent off our Meds (got an appointment quick quick which was great). We live in Dubai - UAE and have to get police clearances from here and South Africa. We have sent of the South African ones and when I called today I was told they are still not ready and to ring again next week. It takes minimum of 28 working days tehy said. We will arrange for the UAE ones this week or next to get that sorted out ASAP. We have until 22nd April to submit our documents. Kind Regards Tarryn |

received yellow envelope in 28 Ian, medicals done in 04. Feb, received by dimia in 09 Feb, police check sent in 10 Feb, received by Adelaide in 19 Feb. Now waiting.... PS we have to pay first EEC - second installment for my wife ... Do u know what is the procedure? |

Hi, I have been requested for medicals and PCC in Oct 03, sent in Nov
& Dec 03. On 26 Jan 04 received request to invest in the bond for the 5 bonus points. Now pending my Government's approval to remit the funds..... Hope it helps. Stella |

Dubai in the UAE is fantastic. We have lived here for the past 6 years and love the place. I was wondering today if I will ever be able to slot back into "normal world" life... time will tell. UAE is made up of 80% expatriates and 20% local Emirati people - so yes, its full of Foreigners. Its very cosmopolitan, I get everything (and more) I need in terms of supplies, food etc, Shopping here is great, food is great. Its just great. Being a Muslim country there are some restrictions but as a Women I drive, work, wear shorts etc etc. It is so easy to be happy here which is also a reason we have stayed on so long. I applied in March 2003, the only pending matter is the payment of the 2nd instalment. I sent an email to my CO confirming my intention to pay, and she told me that she was going to retrieve my file and answer me within 2 weeks. Now its 2 1/2 weeks and no news......
