Forgot to add - If you look at the document check list for your visa (on the immi.gov.au website) it has the postal address on that.

Hi
We are just finalising last minute signatures to our visa documents and hope to send them out by the end of next week.

I was going to organise courier "we deliver the world" DHL to pick up package as I have read they are pretty good, but can you advise do I need to provide a envelope or do they provide it, and if i need to provide one what sort do I get, an ordinary envelope or a super-duper strong jiffy bag.

Sorry if this is a daft question but it's bugging me as I want the paperwork to get there without it getting damaged.

Oh one more q, I have read on threads that some people send stuff to London, is this because they have an agent? I have done the TRA myself (Success) and have done the visa application on my own as OH, myself and daughter are I think quite a straight forward case (I hope)

Thanks if you can adivse me.

Looking forward to e-mailing you with my March date very very soon.
Andrea

Howdy!,
I used DHL through interparcel-(£20, 1kg). They don't supply envelopes though. I bought a medium jiffy bag to protect papers and i didn't seal it until DHL came as they had to check that it was just papers in there and not a bomb!!!
I sent it wednesday dinner and it's just left melbourne, aus - it's great being able to track it

Andrea,

We used "we deliver the world" and DHL came to pick up the documents from our office in Bootle. We used a medium sized padded envelope and we didn't leave it open and the guy said it was OK like that (probably because DHL pick up from our office every day). I know it arrived at our agents OK (based in Perth) as we tracked it through the DHL website. It cost just over £20.
Hope this helps.

DHL told me it was essential to check packages!
They collected mine from a school - just the type of establishment to be sending bombs!!
The dhl driver was full of b******t anyway, he said it would be in australia by 4 the next day!! he was getting a bit mixed up with the US!!
I've used we deliver the world and interparcel before and they both give about the same service - infact i'm not sure if they're the same company using different names, as they do!

Sam,

We did offer to open the envelope up as we had another envelope ready just in case and he said it was ok to leave it sealed, just asked what was in the envelope and that was it. I suppose it just depends who picks up the parcel, but he did say it would be there by 4pm the next day, which in fact was 4 working days, maybe it would have arrived at 4pm the next day if they had a time tunnel

Thank you all for your words of wisdom, glad I'm on the right track as everyone else re: what company to courier visa, what envelope etc. Daft questions to some but important to others, I always think it best to ask as someone else usually wants to know the answer to it, but is too afraid to ask.
Looking forward to post it at the end of this week. (fingers crossed)

Hi Andrea,
We deliver the world are great, we booked them on Tuesday and DHL arrived to collect the package on Wednesday. I put my visa app in a normal A4 envelope (unsealed) envelope to keep it all together. DHL then put it into a special cardboard envelope to courier it in. Make sure you have DIMA's address as even though you have submitted it on the website DHL appeared to have no record of this.
Good luck with your application.

Hello Em

Thanks for your reply, a quick response from DHl from booking to collection, theres me thinking it will take a week or so. Can't wait to get rid of the paperwork, I keep checking and checking, should be ready to go end of the week.
Thanks
Andrea

Hi, we too sent ours on wednesday and was received today, did you have acknowledgement?? only we were under the impression it could be anything between a few days or a few weeks!
It may have arrived at DIMA but it might not be opened yet

No acknowledgement. Not expecting that for a while. Just know it arrived by DHL tracking
Still another box on the spreadsheet can be filled in.
