Got the Grant today by the grace of God.
Details are as follows :-
Country :- Pakistan
Visa VE 175 Online lodged :- 26th March 2010
CO Allocated :- 31st May 2010
Everything Met Except Form 1221 and 80 :- 27th July 2010
Request for Updated Information in Form 80 :- 18th May 2011
Final Visa Grant :- 8th June 2011

Congratulations on the grant.
I haven't heard of the CO asking for affirmation to come in one month. Do you know why this was asked?
Btw, which profession did you belong and did you have any Dependants in the application?

Yep , because medicals and PCCs were frontloaded more than a year ago.Proffession is data warehousing.No dependents.

Yesterday I got a similar letter where I have to provide an updated PCC. As for the Meds I have two options,,1) to redo and have my Intial entry date extended to june 2012 or 2) go on with the current and have it till the end of november 2011.
Will keep you guys posted.

Wow this is fantastic news, You must be happy man with this letter, was that letter or email?
And what is the status of Form 80, is it met or not?
I am craving to have any call from CO as well, did u send any PLE recently regarding your case update.
So what do you decided, gonna retake med. or confine with the Nov 2011 option.

Thank you all very much in the entire journey. Your company made my journey swift and enjoyable. Britishexpats is the best thing that can ever happen to a person looking for online resource for all the his/her expatriation needs. I am lucky to be a part of it and in the future will try to more take active participation.
As for now I am on cloud nine. Though their are lots of chores to do before leaving but my biggest priority for the next few days is to have a Partaay.

My CO today on contacting just asked me to relax and wait till internal checks are undergone, but she didn't mention about External checks, should I assume these are done or still going.
anyway when u are heading to OZ!!!
