We are still trying to finish our house The plan is to finish the house by end of this year maybe beginning of next year, put it on the market in March and move out by June!!! Sounds easy doesn't it

If the house doesn't sell by June then we will have a holiday to validate as we have to validate by then anyway

Hi Lynne,

Both great thanks. Really landed on our feet really, both start work on Monday, both on what we were on in the UK, got car, got rental etc. Went out for a walk today in Ku Ring Gai National Park north of Sydney (took the car for a run really) - stunning park, went on walk and spotted large lizard of some kind (we must look at our photos to identify it!) a Lyre Bird and an Echidna asleep. Absolutely stunning park, bloody gorgeous!

Back to Manly tonight for good food and so we're flying LOL
Starting work on Mon will be a good dose of reality but we're both looking forward to it. Can't wait to get into our proper rental in a couple of weeks and get that bloomin' BBQ on LOL

Hopefully heading towards Mandurah area. All depends on house prices. Have to keep checking the real estate for rentals but to be honest its not really worth it over here. Will book in at a holiday home when we get there then look around for rentals. Like you said. Sounds easy doesn't it

Thanks for all the congrats. We had already booked our flights for 19 Jan so will still go with that. We wanted the kids to start school the same time as everyone else (aren't we thoughtful parents, no holiday for them). Have a couple of suburbs in mind but nothing fixed luckily the schools we are looking at don't have catchment areas.

Still coming to terms with things at the mo. You think you've thought of most things and have great plans but thats all gone out the window now.

My daughter has told me its only 69 days to go. Crikey!!

We are desperate to go and in the final throw of selling OH's house and working like mad to finish my house so it can go on the market. Desparately want to get there now. Hopefully by Feb 07 latest.

Hi all,

our situation hasn't changed really although were getting there. Our bond has been requested and i've had to request an extension but we will be sending it on the 15th Dec. House sale goes through 5th Jan (all contracts signed). Flights booked for the 31st Jan with singapor airlines and our stuff gets shipped tomorrow. Just need a visa now.
