March 04 138 Got it!
Just thought I would share my good news with you all! Had an e-mail this morning containing my "got it" letter! As I am in Australia anyway, staying with my Mother, I just have to leave the country to get it Validated. I have checked with the Indonesian embassy and can sort it all out in Bali so no need for me to travel all the way to Singapore! Can't wait! After over a year of waiting things are finally nearing the end......a very nice feeling!
I hope everyone else that applied at the same time as me gets theirs soon.....I will keep an eye on the board and hope to see some more 'got its'!!
I think I shall treat myself to a little drop of bubbly stuff tonight whilst looking for bargin breaks to Bali!!!!
Timeline as follows;
Applied 3rd March 04
Money Taken out 8th March 04
Acc received 24th March 04
Meds & police Checks sent unrequested 23rd August 04
Case Officer assigned 21st January 05
Chased Centrelink & DIMIA 1st March 05
Letter to say contact Centrelink arrived 4th March 05
Appointment with Perth Centrelink 9th March (needed further breakdown of assurers incomings & outgoings)
Dropped off further paperwork @ C'Link 22nd March 05 (told that they had given us the wrong form - could we go and do it again on correct form!)
Dropped off 'correct' form @ C'link 29h April 05
Assurer recieved letter to say make appointment with Commonwealth bank 31st April 05
Assurer @ Commonwealth to deposit money 5th April 05
Visa grant e-mail received 14th April (dated 12th)
